I was invited to the Spring 2015 Zang Toi fashion show, which also happened to be his 25th anniversary. I immediately was energized by the sounds of Lenny Kravitz "American Woman," and the crowd which included the likes of Whoopi Goldberg and Cynthia Bailey shared in my enthusiasm as their eyes darted back and forth to the beautiful pieces that were being shown.
This was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL collection that included an array of colors and fabrics that Zang Toi is known for. He simply understands the silhouette and elegance of a woman's body and seems to know exactly what looks compliment and grace the body of a woman of almost any height and size. I loved the bold buttoned blazers, tailored suits and floral gowns. I particularly, as a stylist LOVED the way his pieces were adorned and accessorized with some great on trend statements such as chunky layered pearl necklaces and detachable turtleneck adornments.
This line by far is one of his best and although very simple, all looks are sure to turn heads and showcase why the "American Woman" is so beautiful.
