Fashion Event Review: Les Lotus Noire's Fashion Brunch at Toshi's Livingroom

I attended a Fashion Brunch this past Sunday at Toshi's Living Room which is part of The Flatiron Hotel. This brunch featured an unlimited brunch selection along with fashion shows from local Carribean designers such as Patrice Harris of House of Goodluck with shoes by John Ashford, Shakeema Thomas of KeMonae Designs, Kimon Baptiste of Kimmystic Clo, Chanel and Tresor Clemons of TreL boutique and Bernadette of beDEAU. The fabulous event was put on by the ladies of the event and talent management company Les Lotus Noire.

Having attended a lot of fashion events, I have seen it all. However this concept of fashion shows during brunch day time hours is something that is rarely done. I thought the concept was fresh, unique and a great outlet for fashionista's and brunch fans to connect. Who wouldn't want to sip on some delicious sangria's, mimosas and mojito's (which were DELICIOUS) while viewing amazing designs? Designs, which I must say are worthy of a credit card swipe or two.

My favorite House of Goodluck was showcased at the end and included shoes designed by the amazing John Ashford. I thought House of Goodluck was BeyoncĂ© meets Lady Gaga with a bit of Olivia Pope. There were bodysuits, vibrant colors, sheer, lace and lots of peplum. Each model that came out had a completely different piece than the last which led to the creativity and versatility of the brand. Please see House of Goodluck photo's below.

Another favorite of the designers was the kids fashion boutique TreL, who as a 4 year old designer with the help of her mom has created a cool children's wear line which features awesome logo tee's. The models featured in this show were the most adorable, charismatic and charming kids that had the audience simply amazed. Designers Kimmystic Clo, KeMonae Designs and beDeau fashions all featured perfect summer looks with rompers, long silk dresses, playful silhouettes and radiant colors.

The fashion show combined with the brunch selection which included bacon, eggs benedict, finger sandwiches, pancakes, french toast and more made this a very comfortable and interesting way to spend a lovely Sunday afternoon. Another great perk of the event were the great goodie bags that were put together with the logo of the company on the bag. You will have to attend a Les Lotus Noire event to see what kind of goodies that are inside of these bags!! You won't be disappointed. The event attracted a professional and fashionable crowd and I will be looking forward to more of these events in the future.

If you live in the New York City area and are looking for event planners for a fashion event, your birthday, sweet 16, wedding, baby shower, bridal shower, corporate event, holiday event, business launch etc, the ladies of Les Lotus Noire, Stacey Delpeche and Karen James are the epitome of turning “your passion into an art form”. Please visit their site and contact them at 1-(800) 593-1303, or leslotusnoire@gmail.com. My personal recommendation and having known Karen James through a mutual friend for many years now, I will say they are extremely professional and this company is one of the most official event management companies that I have come across in a very long time! Bravo!!
